is this true? wa sian sia...the i sure die one...i cannot do pull up ....then like that i sure kena the 5 months BMT training right? this is wad i heard from my pe teacher...btw i m J1 student..and also if i decided to go poly..does it mean that i will nvr have to go for the bmt since i nvr take the NAFA test like jc students do?

Regarding your issue on the 5 months BMT which your PE teacher claimed, it is untrue.
For those enlistees who did not attain a silver and above for their NAFA test, you have to go through a extra phase in BMT, called the PTP phase. The PTP phase will last for 2 weeks, which means you have to enter BMT 2 weeks ealier than your peers who have attained a silver and above. Both PTP batch and the normal BMT batch will finish on the same date. So, even you have failed your NAFA test, you can keep taking the test by booking an appointment with th physical training instructors from SAF. U can do so by logging on to www.ns.sg.
For poly students, you can book a NAFA test with the SAF website( as men tioned above). If you attain a silver and above, you still will be exempted from the PTP phase.

and WE POLY STUDENTS DO TAKE NAPFA AS WELL. -
Oh yah, almost forgot, poly will have 1 NAFA test scheldued by the school. If u missed it, u have to book an appt from SAF.

5 mths BMT for Obese Recruits. Unless u are overweight (BMI), u won't go into obese batch one.

Even if Mindef makes you enlist during the A Level period, it is your every right to apply for deferment. They sure as heck can't turn you down.
So long as you are studying at a level below university level, you are protected from enlistment. That includes A Levels.
Now you can go and tell all your friends that your teacher has been pwn3d. -

forgot the brochur detail , but i think Sport for Life have a NAPFA test for citizen , min age to participate is 21 and older , if u haven got in NS by then u can get a try. Not sure if now still have anot

Instead of 9 week BMT u kenna 13 weeks
the extra 4 weeks is counted in ur NS as 2 years.
A lvl's nov.Earliest enlistment last week of Dec.Your teacher is wrong. -
