  the joke around now is..
  
  in SAF... when ammunition is in Green colour.. it's a live round or "real" ammunition.
  
  And blue ammunition is dud, or practice or dummy.
  
  Our NS uniform is green...... and their's is???

  Usually foreign personnels, ie children of PRs, are not cleared for combat vocations. So they are posted to service side.

  hmm....... my mother was malaysian converted to singapore citizens and my NS vocation needs a certain level of clearance (some technicial voacations) and i was in the armour formation

  Even if your parents just became Singaporeans and your security clearance is ok.You could be asked to serve anywhere in the SAF
