forced to quit?

wanna ask if anybody was forced to quit school to do ns? i mean really kena forced like, you study one year, then ns call u up, then dun let u complete remainder 2 yrs.
anyone got experience like that? -

wat u mean by scholar? scholar auto get defer mah.
anyway, most ppl get call up before enter post-sec. so defer or no defer is easy to say (govt biggest, they say can, can).
but i'm wondering if anyone has kena called up after study one yr, then forced to leave sch. -
got a newspaper article about it some years ago.
the schools reserved a place for em to continue when they return, or dats wad they tried to. -

maybe you in Poly year 1 for too long already, and your principal prefers the army to take you away, so no deferment.

First time heard such a weird case,izzit TS defer before .study in ITE then go poly?

There are few cases that some were called up for fulltime NS during their studies under deferment...

oh wow.. so i'm a guinea pig again huh
sad sia... actually i worked some time liao, then joined poly at 24. after 1 sem, got ns letter. cmpb say i joined poly at too old an age, so dun allow defer. so i stupid waste 1 yr of sch fees, in the end get nothing. but govt also stupid coz i had signed tuition grant agreement that bond me 3yrs in s'pore after poly. now no more poly, so prob after ns i can leave s'pore liao...
hoping to find any seniors who hv had same exp, otherwise i scared i really ki siao during bmt n start to sabo everything n get db..

Next time give more info from the beginning. 24 years old still not served NS, no wonder lah. I thought our Army screwed-up again.

Yeah 24 haven't enlist?although it seems to be screw up as why cmpb haven't call u up for NS but I think you should have call them and to be enlist if you do not wish such thing to happened.Think of the bright side since you serve NS now,you only serve for 2 yrs,five day week,my time was 2.5 yrs and five and a half day week.
But i can understand how you feel,imagine a 24 year old guy have to listen to one 19 yr old jc boy officer or specs but i think with your age,they also don't dare really tekan u much ,at most let u be sec IC to take care of the younger guys since u are much more older. -

call pple to serve halfway thru poly... not like before so his one year of poly how now? and the fees? even if can continue, for which no arrangements were made i believe, the 1 year work all forget le........
write to newspaper to get an expliaination i guess though it will prob be a cut and paste one -

If govt ask a person to break from studies to go NS, that means they think the guy has got no hope in his studies. They implying that dont waste govt money.
