Why no letter???

  hi all.
  
  im going to be 18 in a few days shouldn't i be getting some letter from NS? is the age to enter 18? and btw i haven't make IC is it because of that??

  You'll get when you're 17.5 years old. I made my IC when I was sec 4.

  You should have received a letter related to making IC when you are 15..

  i stopped at P3 cause basically no mode to study and just like to play and my mother doesn't really stop me so there i wasted many years of education argh the thought of that really make me hate myself

  If you caught by a police and cannot produce an IC on the spot, you can be detained.

  anyway. it's not that complicated at all. not getting enlistment letter by age 18 is not something unusual. many people get called up at age 19, 20, 21 or older (for various reasons like studying etc)
  
  in this case, i'll strongly suggest TS to call up ICA, make arrangements, take a trip down to asap and do the application for your IC. this whole proces till recieving the actual IC will take months so do it quick.

  This is getting a bit crappy... Even if he did not continue study, they would actually send him an letter to register himself for an IC at his parental address...
  
  Unless... they have no records of who his parent is or the current ones are not... but then again, it could be that they really have no record since he quited school...
  
  But I wonder...
