NSman Got Charged: Never No Go ICT for Reservist. How?

hi all,i got a question ..recently i receive a charge letter for not attending my ict..the case is like this,i got ict for 2 weeks,so i was on m.c for 3 days.i faxed the m.c to my unit,they never get back back to me or anything..so now i received the letter telling me to answer charge at my unit..n the charge date was after my m.c finished which means i was being charge for the remaining days after my 3 days m.c..from what i know 3 days m.c means out of course,i fax my m.c to them n they never reply to me too..now they are charging me for this...n 2nd question is i got charge last time for not going r.t the 3rd time b4 n i been send to db that time..so i would like to ask will i be fined or charge to db this time for not going ict..this is my 1st time i got charge for not going ict..can anyone clear my doubts on this?thx n have a nice day all

Should you be on MC, it's best that you contact your unit S1 to make necessary arrangement... Been on 3 days MC might not put you so-called Out-Of-Course, but you might still be able to complete the rest of the ICT... Unless you took it for granted and didn't report back after the 3-days MC...

As for your previous offences, they can be taken reference during your summary trial in absence without official leave from ICT... For example, should you be convicted and punished with sentencing to DB of seven days in previous trial, you can be tried and convicted for more than seven days of DB...

When SAF sends something to you : Proof of sending is sufficient.
When you send something to the SAF : Proof of faxing is not proof of receipt.

I suggest you go to your fax machine and print out the activity report, showing that a successful fax did go through to your unit. This will unlikely save you, but will be a mitigating factor that you did fax, but your unit has a screw-up system of tracking and follow-up.

thx for reply ,now i can only pray hard..coz after my 3 days m.c ,my unit camp did not get back to me n i called the unit too but no one answer...coz i was sick on depression n with depression systoms,now i really dunno how..

U should go meet the MO on ur depression n he can downgrade u.

Brad, I think you are really in trouble.

First of all, in SAF, never assume anything expecially when doing ICT. 3days MC still means you have to report after your MC expires. Preferable you go down to the unit and get a WRITTEN CONFIRMATION that you no need to do ICT.

Secondly, I am surprise that after kenna send to DB and you still want to take the risk of not reporting. If I were you, I will report on the first day.

Thirdly, for depression, I think you really have to proof it. The SDO doing your case may refer you to another doctor to confirm you really depressed. You may get temporary reprieve if you are diagnosed with depression but still you may have to go DB, expecially you already have a record.

Fourthly, no offence, but I think that you really stupid to skip RT and ICT.
