  Dun be surprised it was like that even b4 ADF. I was under the guards brigade and ordied in 99. same thing no 4 second rule but we leopard crawled with weapon(ie M16 and even GPMG) to the front as opposed to holding the weapon with two hands...so that we would not misfire on to our comrades on the left and tat when required we can open fire to the front while advancing...knee guard and hand guard??!!! unheard off....one of my buddy got caught wearing a sports elastic ie thin rubber knee guard cos he had a sprain ...our PC made as re do the entire mission again...

  I remember that was what made the guardsmen stand out from the infantrymen in the past as well. That they'd do their fire movement by leopard crawling. My OC said iirc, "They are smart... when bullets are shooting over ur heads, you think you want to stand up?"

  Who is tiger teo? U mean teo seah kiong and tay boon khai har? Yar. That yr we got high recon 2A and almost BCU, but in the end..............due to some probs, we didn't make it.
