I think the fastest is takeing out the inner lining. But then there is problem with that, can't recall though.

If they wanted soldiers to wear a seasoned beret from day 1, they would have made the manufacturer packed them folded properly. -

put safety pin at the side
season for 1-2 days since the shape is already held in place by the safety pin it will come out nicely

Actually, the way to do it is to wear it in the shower so that it is wet, then shape it whilst you are wearing it.
Then do 50 x jumping jacks, 50 x pushups 50 x situps in succession.
Obviously the 2nd part is a joke.
