Sign On: Worth It? Wise? Outside No Good Job Prospect? How?

Hey, some inquiries.
When you sign on, will you get the vocation you want to, or is it on a case-by-case? if you go OOC, where would one go and could one sign on again? also, the website don't seem to tell what is the educational req for specs are like, anyone could shed some light on this? when should i sign on for either spec/officer, before or after BMT? thanks. -
education level for specs is preferably diploma.
i'll sugguest u consider signing on during or after BMT, so as to get a taste of army life first.
calling up the recruitment hotline is the best way to get all your questions answered. -
You should introduce yourself, give some background, physical characteristics, height, weight, shortsightedness, interests, hobbies, educational level, ambition. I am sure the forumnites here will be happy to suggest what you could do.

i can tell u, through out my nsf life, all e regulars specs i chit chat wif wanted out cannot wait for their MTE (minimum term of engagement contract) date to come to leave the force.
my advice is, go thru bmt, unit battalion life. see, taste, smell, live what u r actually going thru, TOTALLY NOT SHOWN BY THE CURRENT MEDIA/ TV/ PRINT /BUS ADs. yah, u look 'suave' for that few seconds only nia, garang action pack. then u see the work for pre-admin, pre-deployment, pre-mission, pre-movement, insertion, and lastly and finally, POST-ADMIN.
some ex-regulars in my unit:
MT Line SSG ORDed last yr 29 Dec. U can really see his expression when he went for his FFI ORD and getting his CLEARANCE form dutifully signed.
ADF 1SG going to finally ORD in May 2007. -

if you OOC, chances are your contract will be void.
now, specialists should require O, A or Dip.
during BMT they will conduct recruitment talks. use that chance to find out more about the vocations, unless you are already very sure of what you want and sure that soldiering is for you. -

secondly u stand a better chance if u are already a sergeant or officer, cos they don't have to send u to SISPEC or OCS. -
