So if the Senior Warrant officer sees a Captain, who will salute/ greet who? -

warrant officers specialist men well...it's commisioned officer that is being to be saluted at warrants do not get the same thing and in turn they have to salute com-officers -

i only greet friendly warrant. unfriendly warrant i walk away. but logistics warrant mostly friendly.

Now, some Warrant Officers holding Officer grade appoints.
1WO can hold a LTA / CPT appointment
MWO can hold CPT appointment
SWO can hold up to MAJ appointment
But I have not seen a LTA / CPT whose Boss is a SWO. -
junior officers usually aren't particular about wanting enciks to salute them. cos after all, these enciks are old enough to be their father.
there's a chinese saying, one must always be respectful to your seniors.

these old birds are of a different league from Commisioned Officers.
WOSEs and lower ranked officers will all salute a higher ranked Officer.
that is technically correct, but for me, a "Hi Sir!" would be my usual greeting. -
its sometimes hard to distinguish a 1wo from mwo or swo from mwo... coz their crabby ranks looks quite the same

Actually depend on vocation also,but in my camp,we respect the wos more than those young officers since they are older,can be our father liao leh compare to those young bois who are younger than us and know nothing about the work in the camp the wos are more respected

I am a little bit short sighted but do not use prescriptive eyewear most of the time because I use my sunglasses. The ranks are difficult to differentiate, when worn on the shoulders. Look at MHA where all the ranks are on the shoulders. So, I stopped greeting anyone. Don't want to screw up. -

When you are working, there's no time to play petty politics. These SWOs are considered systems experts. There are MWOs who are on the same SO1 level as the CPTs too. Might not work well in a combat unit though, save for BMTC.
