better soldiers?

this is not my opinion in any way but heard from a lot of people that mono intake batches are better soldiers than bmtc ones. is this true? how come ar? somemore heard it from officers and enciks. heard they're the rugged, rowdy, gangster kind. serious ar?

Most of the BMTC intakes are Higer NITEC, A level and Dip Holders.
Most of the direct mono intake in the various arms are of a lower academic qualification.
This does not include mono intake of Commandos and NDU Divers.
In a mono where you have no pressure to perform to go to OCS or SISPEC.. you don't need to wayang or anything. But one thing's for sure... the buddies you meet in the mono stick with you.. go thru hell and at the end of it all fight ATEC or some other form of evaluation exercise. And ORD together as a mono.
I feel it's the experience that one gets in the mono that make them more 'rugged' more 'rowdy' and ultimately more 'soldier-ly'.
Mono intake soldiers are not necessarily better soldiers... but the general opinion of them is that it's hard to earn their respect initially, but once you've got their respect... it's gonna be a fun ride.

Mono intake soldiers are usually in battalion level. Enlisted together, ORD together. They will go thru thick and thin throughout their 2 years. With this, the comraderie and esprit de corps among fellow soldiers are very strong. Unlike HQ branches or brigade level companies who sorely lack the bond.
And when the the ORD battalion come back for reservist, chances are the bond is still tight. -
