Going home on weekends

How many weeks do we have to stay in the army before being allowed to go home on weekends, and if I didn't get a silver/gold for napfa test, do I have to stay in the army longer before being allowed to go home on weekends?

BMT now got confinement or not i am not sure,my bmt is 5 years ago but in unit it really depend on the rules of your unit,hence it pure luck.
As for napfa test to get silver = to a pass for IPPT,you may try to get a silver for napfa test as you will only need to serve,if i am not wrong 1 year 10 months of National service only.If you can't then it will be good for you to train durning your BMT and RT on sat may occur if you fail your IPPT(but then again it also depend on the company you are in) -

if U enlisted a few days before public holiday...then by right they have to let U book out for the public holiday...then the confinement week will be pushed back...
other than that..by right they cannot refuse to let U book out on weekends just because U cannot clear IPPT...but they can let U book out late and book in early...to "inspire" U to clear ur IPPT.

Wah... I heard that you can go home every weekend after doing BMT for 2 weeks... I was only wondering whether I can go home after 2 weeks of the extra training for failing napfa, or after 2 weeks of the "official" BMT. But it seems not to be that way... Anyone knows usually how long would I have to stay in the army before being able to return home? Worst case scenario?

When u are in NS,regardless of ranks,you are supposed to be 24 hours standby,that why i say in the army,anything can happened you have to be mentally prepare lah.
