depends entirely on unit/BMTCOriginally posted by goesby:How many weeks do we have to stay in the army before being allowed to go home on weekends, and if I didn't get a silver/gold for napfa test, do I have to stay in the army longer before being allowed to go home on weekends?
Not really leh, anything is possible in the army,i still remember my whole company kena confine(including our SGT and PConly regulars can book out)because we never greet the CO or RSM i forget liao when we are about to book out sia, army anything can happened .Originally posted by Xcert:depends entirely on unit/BMTC
if U enlisted a few days before public holiday...then by right they have to let U book out for the public holiday...then the confinement week will be pushed back...
other than that..by right they cannot refuse to let U book out on weekends just because U cannot clear IPPT...but they can let U book out late and book in early...to "inspire" U to clear ur IPPT.
true...anything can happen as long as nobody calls the SAF Hotline...that's why I put "by right".Originally posted by KenPlus:Not really leh, anything is possible in the army,i still remember my whole company kena confine(including our SGT and PConly regulars can book out)because we never greet the CO or RSM i forget liao when we are about to book out sia, army anything can happened .
xcert already answer your questionOriginally posted by goesby:Wah... I heard that you can go home every weekend after doing BMT for 2 weeks... I was only wondering whether I can go home after 2 weeks of the extra training for failing napfa, or after 2 weeks of the "official" BMT. But it seems not to be that way... Anyone knows usually how long would I have to stay in the army before being able to return home? Worst case scenario?
