listening to music while doing guard duty

  eg. listen to small portable radio or ipod or mp3 player, through headphones plugged into ears.
  
  during guard duty; sentry or prowling...especially at night or during weekends
  to prevent boredom n sleepiness.
  
  who here does that, or their army mates does that?
