lol i agree, i am now running a medical centre n at the same time proving medical covers wtf...Originally posted by Rockhound:combat medics... basically got 2 types one...i break it down for u k
HQ MEDIC...organic to the medical centre..they are the ones that run the medical centre with the Senior Medic..Medic 2ic and MO IC
they chiong with the Unit basically..setting up BCS
Rifle Coy Medics(Battery Medics if in Arty)
i shall say this in infantry context..
3 Combat medics organic to each platoon with 1 Company Medic(Medic Spec) organic to the company...basically...this is the 1st line health care for the coys....
they train with the coys....chiong with them..yadayada..
Company line life for them...slack la compared to HQ medic...wat the coy do..they do lor....generally combat medics don't do guard duty...
Company Medic..life..easiest..closest to encik...
at most..check mosquito breeding area...teach soldiers how to wear condom before going overseas exercise... and handle medical emergencies within the coy(like soldiers attempting suicide and accidents.....
All medics are required to be Medical Cover trained...how Medical Cover duties are allocated is up to the Safety Officer... Medic Specs....and MO...
Medical centre duties...for me...i allocate a 3 unit system
Weekday is 1 unit...Weekend and public holidays is 2 units.. Its a 24 hour thing basically...
MOST IMPORTANTLY....CHIONGING IS THE EASIEST THING TO DO COMPARED TO RUNNING A MEDICAL CENTRE FOR A MEDIC...CONSIDER URESELF LUCKY IF YOU POSTED TO BE A PLATOON MEDIC
no la.. cfm... still got chance go rsaf/navy... RP sgt... yup.. haa... serious... juz guai guai stay in infantry... go rsaf bcum rp sgt no life de...Originally posted by Lambo:You are posted to SISPEC.

ccac nothing compared to bmc..Originally posted by correctyou:Im a spec in ADF and was previously trained as a scout.
mhcampboy you are totally ignorant so think twice before u make any comments or claims.
Recce or Scouts are the elites of the Infantry. Only people of high security cleareance, non-malays and a minimum education level of diploma or A level are shorlisted for this vocation.
You think they ride bikes only? let me tell you what they do.
1)they learn to do a signaller's job. able to mend comms and operate it effeciently.
2)They learn to drive or ride a bike in which bikers will really learn to do certain stunts such as flying up steep slopes and going through obsatcles which have a certain amount of risk.
3)They go through CCAC course where they learn to administer IV by poking thick needles into one another's arm and also the ccac course which all medics have to go through.
4)Target Recon where trainees are to learn on indentifying all military vehicles,
tanks, weapons, helicopters,equipments.....
Scouts have to be trained in this areas as they are similar to commandos who are self sustainable. During real ops, they dont have a battalion or coy following them, they work in groups of four and are left alone in the warzone.
Now i will come into the conventional training.
1)an average of 30-40kg fbo load. second only to the commandos.
2)"FBO" Full Battle order swims and crossing water obstacles.
3)Prisoner of war treatment and survival cost in which trainess are left in the
jungle to survive with almost no usual outfield equipment and ration for 5
days.
4)Helicopter drills as scouts are also heli-borne.
5) fast marches and long distance at overseas rough terrain navex amounting
up to even 50km or more if trainees lose their way.
6)Hell lots of Recconaisance missions, outfields and practisce of infiltration movements.
talking medical wise dey...medics dont go thru CCACOriginally posted by correctyou:ccac is nothing compared to bmc? so what is bmc compared to all the other shit a recce trooper has to go through? Anyway a scout is not even a medic in the 1st place but they have to learn an array of other skills belonging to different vocations since they are a self-dependent force
