Lol, my last appt for piles was only one month away leh... Maybe i was lucky. SO must be MO refer then free? Or polyclinic doc refer also free? How much did u pay?
Originally posted by Bassdance:hmm. ok. so that's fixed eh. cos i got a fren who went BSLC and now in Signal institute also.
oh btw, pes C people do get combat medic as well. have 2 platoon mates from BMT who got it already. though its not that common, its still possible. probably only C1L1 would get that. i guess thats worse than mine.
Worse or not, what vocation you get is what you will be stuck in unless you get medically downgraded further. Just try to be positive and you might enjoy life there.

MO or polyclinic doc referrals will be free.
HH, i paid around 200+ i remember..
Bassdance, i was in Sispec, OOC during the last 1-2 weeks of the course, went to be Combat Medic. But i still spent my army life happily and time passed quite quickly, even much faster during my unit life at HQ. haha
dont go think of whether u will OOC. just do whatever u are asked to do, and do ur best, but dont force urself if u cant take it.
hey thanks dkcx and sonic for replies!

Your vocation is AFV OPR - ATTC.
Anyone can tell me more about this? Is it tough? any route marches and outfield?
My combat engineer officer friend say that your vocation could be some sort of driver for some armoured vehicle since 38 SCE is armoured engineer or else is vehicle related. He is not very sure cos he was form 39 SCE

Seems like my posting is relatively unknown. Google provided an old thread a couple of years back. One post got my hopes up, saying it's quite slack and 8-5; then i scrolled down and my hopes were crushed lol!

Haha, generally you know its stayin or stayout by looking whether they got ask you bring in duffle bag or should say that tells you 1st day got stay in anot. Enjoy 6 weeks at Semb camp for ur driving, driver trainees still stay in at STC if there is no change :p

yeah i guess i shouldnt worry so much abt my injury and just do what im asked to like u said.
dkcx, i am positive abt my vocation. no worries. cos im happy as long as i learn sth and not just do sai kang and waste my 2 yrs. lol
btw, im just wondering... i got silver for napfa b4 i went into BMT so im supposed to get 2mths off (1yr 10mths instead of 2yrs NS) but bcos im pes C so my ORD date is 2 yrs from my enlistment date.. apparently the reason they gave was coz pes C usually more slack than pes A/B so must serve 2 yrs no matter what we get for napfa before our enlistment. but since i got a combat vocation that pes A/B people also get, is there a chance my ORD date will be pushed forward? or will it remain the same. (cos of that's the case then the pes A/B pple will go through the same thing as me but ORD earlier)

How long you serve is decided on the day you enlist and won't be affected when you change pes later. PES A/B is those who pass napfa that gets the 2 months reduction and not all.
Generally drivers will not need to route march cos u need to drive the vehicle. You route march u think the vehicle will move on its own? SOC i dunno.
