signing on is a totally diff shit.. they will train u from scratch..i never said there was none, but i said there is enough proof for me to say that ur field of expertise might just affect ur posting slightly..

I mentioned my friend since you said all the regulars had to be aero students but he was not.

Until we have a forumer who is in the vocations posting 'department', it will never be certain whether or not they really bother or is it just pure coincidence. However, noone should expect or pin too much hopes in getting any vocation just because it is their area of study since the chances are still very low when you compare the number of graduates from that course, the openings for that vocation as well as the chance of other people getting into that vocation.

As many have discussed in the past, the assessment done after medical checkup could have a significant effect on posting and it could just be that graduates of certain courses being better in certain sections of the test that is required for that vocation and thus get that posting.

but one things for sure.. if you're a medicine student, your chances of becoming a MO, is certainly higher..

and btw what i mentioned by the field they're in is held by regulars is the different type of techs in the rsaf.. those in the aero engineering field will do more with maintenance and how the aircraft performs/works..nsf technicians never maintains an aircraft..they're only DCC's or armourers..

For MOs, thats 1 noone can argue about.

RSAF tech are sent to AFS and not OETI like the army techs so what they learn or do is not something i'm clear about but those i know who were there were non eng students though i dunno wat those few do since i was not close to them and never kept in contact.

Was a little disappointed when I saw the postings. Wanted to go to OCS initially. I was platoon's best and had expressed in becoming an officer. Any idea what affected my chances getting posted to OCS and is there anyway I could appeal? Thanks for the reply!

Try to get platoon best or company best in BSLC, and ask to cross over to OCS.

You only need to bring your PT Kit, and some extra stuffs such as towel, soap, another set of clothes, just in case you need to stay in. There is no need to bring field pack.

Slack. But not slack until you do nothing.

Don't bring your MP3 on 1st day, ask on that day whether you can bring or not.

It is 4 months long, and when you come out you will likely be CQMS or store IC, not to mention 3SG.
