yeap MP is military police.. there's no such thing as good or not good.. it's just another vocation, and like the name says, you're like the police of the military.. TS should be training school.
yes it's a stay-in course so you have to bring everything u have from BMT.

yea just bring those stuff u mentioned, and yes u need ur jockey cap since u're not supposed to move around in camp without a head dress..
likely that you dont have to stay in for the first day, but then again, it all depends on ur unit and ur superiors. u can call them to check, they won't eat u.

My apologies but pardon me. Since I've been posted to 8 SIR as an RP, what it means it that I would, after my course, be posted as a guard for duty in an army camp, and not in an air force or naval camp right?

I'm from the batch of RP's before you. U might end up as a army or airforce rp depending on manpower needs and ur security clearance. I had the same posting as u too but got posted to CAB FDS :) I do hope you manage to get posted here after the 6 weeks at 2PDF thou, serious lack of manpower here!

I heard that I most probably will be down pes due to depression. I'm already on medication for moderate to severe depression with an urge to pull the trigger on someone when agitated. The likelihood of me being OOC is real since I am excuse from firearms, explosives and stay-in for one month.

noo.. 8-5 is when your're undergoing your Airman Orientation Program or AOP. When your actual course starts it will be stay in at AFS.
When you finish your course and get posted out, it will most likely not be 8-5 as you have to follow the squadron flying timings.

Note that you are not expected to bring everything, but you are expected to stay in. Thus, just bring toiletries such as soap, toilet paper....etc., extra clothes such as 1 set No.4 + admin + PT, and anything else they ask you to bring or you believe you will need for where you are posted to.

As an RP, after my training at 8SIR, do I get to stay out aka 8-5?
You mean I will not remain at 8SIR after training? But since 8SIR is an army infantry camp, I will get posted to army camp instead of being an FDS in some airbase, no?
