Fishing? in the long kang near the runway in the east, lot of small fish good to feed arrowana and oscar.......also whenever it rain the golf pond will overspill then u get lot of soon hock from the pond as well, but we never ate those.....

Thanks. Eh I'm not sure the water is brakish/salty and the fish are bad for your arrowana.

Actually the water is quite clear and clean, compared to the wet gap. It's a mixed between salt and unsalted because the end of the monsoon drain, it led out to the sea.

Most likely you will be send to driver training centre later for your lesson. Jurong Camp definitely stay in but if learning driving, I think stay out unless you need to go back to camp after lesson.

u are a driver. u will report to 3 tpt camp first.. is stay in.. den ur camp will give u a date to report to sembawang camp for 3 mth driver course, also stay in, till u pass tp, can stay out for a while.. den once completed driving course, u will sent back to ur 3 tpt camp , stay in all the way.
as long as u are careful in driving, dont cause serious accident, most likely wont go DB.. nt all accidents ended up in db.. depends.. i am a driver too.

in driving course, u will learn to drive landrover, 3ton,5 ton man truck, OUV. jus bring all 4 sets of uniform, coz u will sweat like hell there.. bring toiletries.. and helmet later in the course.. u will need it halfway through the driving course.. bring only when they ask u to..

hmm... army side i not too sure.. coz i am a airforce driver. but i guess most of the stuffs are the same bah..
usually we will fall in during the morning parade state. the transport sup (3SG), will read out the details for the day... like example, u will drive 3 ton or 5 ton to some place for some purposes. most likely army side will do outfield excercises most of the time..
den at the end of the detail,back to yur camp, u might be required to wash the vehicle.. something like tat bah..
bookout for army side is usually during the weekends.. but for me, airforce driver is stay out.. welfare is, u will be given some rest time in between the details.. no worries.. like when they go outfield or u go some details, got alot of stores, u can volunteer to help, or u can jus sit there and relax.. this is so called driver's welfare la..

hi dark eden, what sort of air force driver are you? i've just been posted as a afv driver to air force school, undergoing airmen orientation programme now. can i know what to expect after that? do i go to sembawang for training? and what about stay in stay out for training course and for unit? i'm told most likely i will go to chong pang camp so will we be staying in?

erm.. i not too sure about the job scope of afv driver leh.. nv heard b4.. when i receive my bmt posting, my vocation is driver(trainee), at tengah airbase.. but if u are posted to chong pang camp, some need stay in, some dont..depending on ur vocation i think.. other airbase drivers most is stay out..
does anyone know anything about life in JMPD at gombak base, or at least the surroundings and atmosphere in gombak base?? :/
