not true. poly grads can also sign on as officers. example during or after his NS, he was a NSF officer and decided to sign on with the army.Originally posted by jianfish9:If you are really patriotic and really really want to sign on, do so at least as an officer. a LSE on-campus degree is quite well sought after and recognised, just for info.Originally posted by jianfish9:I know during BMT they make signing on sound so good and everything sweet sugar and honey. The only ones who actually signed on were the ones who got the scholarships and I don't mean the lame LSE ones.
Think we all agree that unless you are under SAFMS, SAFOS or a pilot (still need a uni degree), Don't even think about it.

To sign on as a spec is really a bad choice to say the least. If you don't give you PP2, then its you jobless at 28 without really decent qualifications and skills worth nothing.
When I see all those JPSDS scheme, I think what a scam it is. Those young guys haven't been through NS and they are being conned into signing something that they have only seen on TV.
i think you're nuts.Originally posted by storywolf:Next time cabby say you go and die !!! then you go and die is it !!!

They must hate you so bad to tell you such lies.Originally posted by ctstalin:Strange...my store manager and colleagues keep asking me to sign on and they were lamenting their regrets for not signing on

When you are middle aged and out of a job, what is the most accessible job? Driving a cab of course.Originally posted by KoolKool:Looks like there are more cabbies who are ex-SAF regulars. I just spoke to 2 in my last 2 rides, and the thing is I seldom take cabs. I haven't spoken to any cabby who is an ex-Police regular yet. Maybe, they are bus drivers.
Is SAF a training ground for cabbies ?

Thats a whole load of bull from you. There are good advices and bad advices. The example that you gave, cabby ask you go die is a horrid example. People have common sense. Common sense tells you that your life is not something to be taken lightly.Originally posted by storywolf:strike one :
