Hormat Panglima - salute given to Reviewing Officer holding position of [b]at least Member of Parliament. Not General.
If I'm not wrong, in accordance with 'Hormat Polis' in the SPF, given to at Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police, SAF Generals should be given a 'Hormat Tentera' salute.
Hormat Perdana Menteri - salute given to Prime Minister[/b]
Btw Tentera = Army / armed forces .. so hormat Tentera = salute army or armed forces -
SSM something wrong. it is also correct to give panglima salute to an MP.
hormat panglima is given in all of the parades I've been to where the RO is a MP and above.
anyway POP parades haven't been known to be very 'correct' anyway. it is usually the bigger events like Force-level parades where everything is correct down to the finest detail. -

I learnt parade format from Police Field Instructors. shouldn't be any much different than what you ppl learn in NS. -

and doesn't mean that what you learn DURING NPCC, can be applied in SAF
so please, and you are ONLY 18 years old
and what you learn during NPCC Day Parade 2004 contingents and instructors, doesn't mean you know anything about SAF at all, so don't be a noob

Okay, so you guys are talking about CO Parade, COC. can't I give my input? Is it wrong to give input? Why not learn something from each other, don't assume SAF is KING when there are differences in drill movements among three uniformed forces, SAF/SPF/SCDF.
Drill, however standardised its supposed to be, is NEVER really standardised at all. Even within a single organisation. Different units have different ways of doing things, and this don't apply only to NPCC but even SAF, NCC, SPF, SCDF blabla the list goes on.
And I've worn No.3 and No.4 before. nope, not SAF version.

2) Name of an RSN Naval Training Institute
2) A salute given to an SAF General, in SAF context -
i am not going to waste my time with someone who never even serve NS before, and doesn't know anything about SAF at all.
till the day, you go to tekong, then see whether, what you learn in NPCC, can be apply in SAF or not -
