Hormat Panglima - salute given to Reviewing Officer holding position of at least Member of Parliament. Not General.
If I'm not wrong, in accordance with 'Hormat Polis' in the SPF, given to at Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police, SAF Generals should be given a 'Hormat Tentera' salute.
Hormat Perdana Menteri - salute given to Prime Minister

Exactly what parades have you been to? I have never heard what you say happen.Originally posted by Deunamist:SSM something wrong. it is also correct to give panglima salute to an MP.
hormat panglima is given in all of the parades I've been to where the RO is a MP and above.
anyway POP parades haven't been known to be very 'correct' anyway. it is usually the bigger events like Force-level parades where everything is correct down to the finest detail.
