once again the same question - have you tried backward grip pull up?Originally posted by pierre^^:pull up has nothing to do with push-up
although many will say it help
but it wun guarantee u one pull up if u oni train with push up
Lat pulldown in my opinion doesnt help those who cannot even do a chin up.Those "zero fighters" are better off starting with dead hangs on a pull up bar.Originally posted by pierre^^:got ah
the not so standard one single pull up lor
actually i feel that do pull up use forehand better than backhand
it helps u alot in other areas like monkey bar
i think to properly train for pull up
u will be better doing machines like lat pull down and assisted pull up everyday den train with push up
I guess the undergrasp (backgrip) is inferior in the practical sense. Any style is good for your IPPT, but for pulling yourself eg. scrambling up a hill, rock climbing, rowing a boat, etc. Most of real-life situations need an overgrasp imo.Originally posted by Icemoon:did you try the back grip pull up?
I think many shun away from the back grip cos it is deem inferior to the forward grip.
Agree.Originally posted by ord personnel:I guess the undergrasp (backgrip) is inferior in the practical sense. Any style is good for your IPPT, but for pulling yourself eg. scrambling up a hill, rock climbing, rowing a boat, etc. Most of real-life situations need an overgrasp imo.
yaaa than in DB, you can rest your brain.Originally posted by ahtansh:Chin up, if one really cannot pass. Get someone who looks like you (IC) to pull for you during your ICT but 2.4 will not be that easy to cheat.
Use your Brain, use ur brain...

Can lat pulldown your bodyweight or more doesnt mean can do pullups. They are a different ball game altogether.Originally posted by Taiwanpolitics:it does help , u know .
lastime i go gym , i pull down a 10 kg weight , and my hands r trembling .
I worked out to abt 50 kg after a few months .
then with pushups and situps to train the supporting musscles , i managed 1 pullup .
then with that 1 pull up , i never go gym , i go a few reps a day and pooh , now can do 4 .
if u can lift 70 kg and above and ur body weight is lesser , just work on ur supporting musscles , then can le .
pushups train support musscles nia .
i agreeOriginally posted by Simon Dean:Can lat pulldown your bodyweight or more doesnt mean can do pullups. They are a different ball game altogether.
