No.3 Attire Regulation

Eh.. technically headgear must be worn at all times in uniform right, so for no. 3 that will be beret...
And is jacket (The type you wear when you are cold) allowed to be worn with No. 3?
I saw one person in MRT yesterday in No. 3 with no beret and wearing an ORANGE jacket over his GREEN no. 3

i think only recruit wears their jockey cap when they book out...
i seldom see people wear beret outside of camp, but i have seen some b4. -
Even among officers, no one wears beret often. Unless the officers all wear, you don't.

SAF has rationalise its dressing with the civilian, at public functions.
previously, when attending a formal event, while all civilian guests wear suit and tie, members of the SAF attend in No.1 ...... really stood out from the crowd. That's how the No.5 came about, with tie, and with jacket versions, to blend in properly.
Also, it would be very silly to wear civilain clothes to camp, and then change to uniform to work, and at the end of the day, get into civilian clothes to get home. By not insisting that headdress be worn at all times, we now can see more soldiers tavelling to and from home / camp in uniform.
The overall impact is great. Its a move in the right direction. -

but then again, that's inside camp, outside camp is a different story. but if u were to ask me, i won't wear it. even when i'm outside camp in uniform i make it a point to look presentable.
