I don't see why you can't put on a jacket over your uniform. When you ride a bike, you want to keep your uniform clean. When raining, you should keep yourself dry.
When you want to encourage people to join the SAF, let's not put too much restrictions on small things like that, especially if it is outside of camps. -
last time my camp have a werid fellow who will wear his goretex jacket over his no.4 everyday when booking in and booking out, be it rain or shine.

I think if you want to wear a jackret then wear a presentable jacket, not some weird colour.
But best don't wear, as everything stands out against the green colour of No. 3. Really end up loking like nincompoop. -

I just think that when people wear SAF attire they are a representative of the SAF and should act and dress in an appropriate manner. They shouldn't end up looking like some of the NCC people I see on the MRT.
Whatever lah. Not my business. I started this thread to clarify some issues... not to go round pointing fingers at people. That's not my nature. -
