We need to have a strong SAF if not we may end up as POWs

I read lately a book from Ang Mo Kio Library and I strongly encourage you to borrow it := (i am still reading but should be finishing it in another 3 days or even sooner), entitled: 'Annihilation Zones' by stephen Barber. (located at shelf 950.4)
It came in 3 parts :
1) on Japanese WW2 atrocities about 80 pages
2) Siberia concentration camps at Magadan (Siberia) under Stalin's rule, about 30 pages
3) Pol Pot's atrocities in Cambolia, about 80 pages
I am amazed by the sheer atrocities by the Japanese and you really have to read for yourself! including unit 731 human experimentation at Manchuria.
And these made me pose the question, if we are been caught as POWs, we might not only be shoot and died. But instead of suffere tremendous flesh torment and pain! So we really need to have a strong SAF.
If you have any good books on this let me know. -

the official wastage for an average SAF cook house stands at approx 3 to 5% ... but that's just fudging paper work ...
the SAF generates enough wasted food a day to feed some third world shit hole for a week ! ...
and if you can save on little things like wine and canapes for the brass after some major ex in pasir labar, then perhaps soldiers can have more blanks to fire with during exercises, instead of having to use the universal round and go farking "bang bang bang ! " ... ...

sign on only if u are a pilot or is able n confident to be a officer -
Mixed feelings leh...
NS training will (more or less) ensures that you are able to at least fight back when the needs arise. Basic solder skills lar.
But I loathe to think of the thousands and thousands who will die when the fronts clashed. Grinding conflicts between Conscripts and a Regular army tends to be skewed...
One question: Would you rather go down fighting than being taken POW? -
Won't bother to fight for own country , cos i don't see any worth in doing that for a country that doesn't take care of its own pple . Taken pow ? i rather kill myself . Our army no matter what the ranks is only knows theory with zero actual war exp . Wait till an actual war breaks out and you will see my point .

And haha, the universal rounds part...haha, sibei funny. But wonder why is it that unlike other countries' military, we don't use simunitions? Or perhaps only SOF, SWG use them? Even 3SIR is using paintball markers. Doesn't really reflect the firing of the actual weapon well with the range and all. -
