ok i agree that recruits r the lowest lifeform in the army
no matter how instructors whack them, they r still human
and by being a human being, there is a limit to what they can do
why are instructors pushing them beyond their limit and when they cnt take it anymore they wanna fall out they can't cos instructor sae they chao keng
take the saf accidents/deaths and the commando dunking case
seeing pple losing their lives in saf
make parents think whether welfare is really enforced in saf
i am not trying to flame any organisations here but then its realli something worth to take note of
think abt it tough training is needed for whatever vocation ok this is appropriate but think abt it what will parents feel whenever they hear of such unfortunate news on the tv
can they refuse to send their sons for NS? NO. they can't. its every males' duty and responsibility to fully serve tt 2 years as part of their life
everyone haf a limit. they can do a lot of things but everyone i believe will reach a certain point and haf to stop they can't continue becos its beyond their limit

In the unfortunate case we end up in a war, shall we make a call to our enemies and make an agreement not to fight too hard, lest we drive each other beyond breaking point and suicides? The SAF may be a conscript force, but it is still a military, not a boy scout organisation.

normally when a recruit comes in, he's there to learn military stuff and to instill basic discipline himself. y recruit suffer the most? is it becos they r the lowest lifeform in the army? is it becos they r lowest rank? y r they being pushed beyond their limit. i guess being pushed beyond their limit tt's the reason y they cnt take it and do silly stuff in the end. I do agree that the organization have a lot of cock up things,but it like this, you as an nsf have to learn to adapt to their environment and not the other way round,if you find something unfair and you are in the verge of dieing,then you should be flexible and think of ways to save yourself,no one can help you.
WELFARE??hahahaa got water parade leh,got cookhouse food haha somemore got the wonderful medical centre leh whether you like it or not this are the welfare given loh ,no choice one.
I really worry about TS,haven't enlist yet already soo many complains,really wish you good luck for NS. -

usually the seargants n PCs are not that bad as u think la except for some idiots who think they are big,
i still can remember at end of POP parade when i was at jetty preparing to borard boat to go home, the seargants n PC shake hands with us wishing us good luck n all the best in our future vocations -
welfare = canteen break, off day etc....anyway recruit find it tough is becos there is so much difference between civilian and army

So in times of war, before the enemy invade, they will sit down with you to have a common understanding what is overboard, what is to the limit??
The definition of of Welfare in the seven core values (if I'm not wrong) is to provide our service the toughest training during peacetime such that we are prepared for wartime.
If you are a PC leading your platoon against enemies in wartime, do you want soldiers who can only pass SOC? Or soldiers who will fight the enemy for limp and life?

Is it really that impt? I dun recall recruit suicides happening every week when I was in BMT. So many have gone through it, sucked it in and took it like the man they're suppose to become so why dun you kids quit your whining and start growing up?
