FIBUA for april enlistees

I've heard that the new batch of enlistees will not have the usual 7 days fieldcamp. Instead it'll be 3 days fieldcamp 3 days FIBUA.
is there any lao jiaos in here who can enlighten me on what will happen during the FIBUA course for the new intakes?more shiong than fieldcamp?
will we like get to handle gadgets like the camera ball,fibre optic probe,pacbot etc as shown in mindef's fibua video or those stuff or are they still under evaluation with 1st Battalion, MI ?quite curious about it, feel that it'll be more fun than fieldcamp

hmm fibua is more for units like infantry / guards... isnt it too early for recruit to learn them?

heard this info from those in the jan intake, that there will not be 7-days fieldcamp, instead the april batch will be sort of the 'guinea pigs' for testing the feasibility of widespread implementation of all the 3G stuff that SAF have been harping for so long.hence the 3days fieldcamp/3days FIBUA course.

might as well put in heli ops and watermanship for recruits
dont even know how to clear IA properly and quickly, want to fight FIBUA -
my unit is a uo (urban operations) unit, and our field camp was indeed different from the usual. Coz im from the mono intake so i did my bmt under the unit. we had urban warfare training, which i haf to admit, is pretty xiong. especially if you're the aggresor.
but what we were taught were only the rockbottom basic tactics of movements, securing, firing and various reaction drills. we were not trained to handle the new weapons, equipment and gadgets yet, that only happened in our AIT (advance infantry training). n i dont think u can get ur hands on those toys unless you're a scorpion, or in other words, a soldier in 3 SIR, cause' its the only unit carrying them around..

Germ is right. Normally recruits will not be issued new optics equipment etc due to lack of experience. Only in ACT/AIT phase or after you turn ops, they give you.

The thing about UO ready unit is that you'll have to do both conventional and urban ops.
Fight conventional, then transit to urban, then to security... Lotsa things to learn... By the time you learn everything, ORD lo (which also mean a late atec...) -
New recruits will all learn UO if my info is right.

During my time, the low window posed alot of problem for alot of ppl. esp the shorter ones. Luckily for me i could jump withouth much difficulty. covering that fibua would be pure hell for the medics.
I mean, look, unit that are 80percent thru NS can still have idiots doing stupid things in fibua that require the poor medic to "stable to un-stable, i am letting go".
cannot imagine BMT fibua, need at least 1 section of medic with warrant fauzi himself leading them

FIBUA siong? No lar... relaxing for me.
I was breaching team...always tasked to breach the concentina wire. Always kanna killed. So no need to go in and chiong those buildings.
