if i were the CDF , i'll change SAF by doing the following...
1stly , i will try to expose more of our troops to more realistic simulation by allowing them to go to peace keeping missions.it's time to to blood our soldiers.
2ndly, to boost the recruitment rate, i will try to portray SAF as an organisation that is quite family oriented : by having an family day. and i'll have recruitment personnel to give school talks
3rdly, scholars system to be tweaked... hmm allow a higher proportion of would-be generals and commanders to be schooled in military schools. and if possible, allow them to lead in peace-keeping missions
ok, wat i may do may actually waste more of the taxpayer's money but it will be worth it if we can have a highly motivated army to defend singapore and help raise singapore's profile as a nation that has both the heart and brawn -
Scrap the 10 year contract, we are keeping some good for nothings in the army due to this stupid contract...
Combine SISPEC and OCS into an intermediate cadet school... then from there choose the best of the best for our officers, instead of some wayang good for nothings in BMT... -
I will increase all NSmen pay by $200 and give then free holiday every year...

The excercises at the BMT stage does not show the true quality of a soldier, anyway 2 1/2 months is too short a time to identify the true leaders, only the attention seekers. -

give more allowance, and expects better attitude and performance from the soldiers or else i will screw them up...

Train more special forces that are used in urban ops. Review personnel periodically, personnel not suited for job may be demoted. Advance tactical training should be started in BMT and BMT to be extended.

Review the scholar and farmer system, a paper general does not make him a good field commander ... then again the CDF is likely a scholar himself
p.s. same goes with all governement and quasi government agencies.
