Sheares Marketing...

  Went down to Sheares Marketing with a friend yesterday. He's a regular with the air force, what vocation I'm not sure. His objective was to get a pair of Oakley Half-jackets. As originally, he had submitted his order through his unit. But the following week, his unit clerk told him that they have cancelled all the orders and that they can go straight to the shop and make purchase over the counter. But when we went over, they told my friend that purchase has to be done through unit. And proceeded to ask for my friend's name, email and hp no.
  
  Question...why 2 sets of conflicting insructions? Thanks

  Sheares will have been given the instructions that the SAF has sent to the units. You can ask them for a copy and then show to your unit.
  
  A business process cannot be verbal when there is a procedure for purchase.
  
  Scenario 1 :-
  Sheares : How can we make Oakley available at a cheap price for your soldiers ?
  SAF : Simple, I will call all the units to tell them verbally to order through the unit.
  Sheares : Thanks !
  
  Scenario 2 :-
  Sheares : how can we make Oakley available at a cheap price for your soldiers ?
  SAF : Here is the list of address of all the units. Please you send a GOM to them.
  Sheares : thanks, I will do it right away !
  
  It cannot be like that, right ?
  
  There got to be some paperwork that involves pricing. SAF got to check that they are getting some genuine discounts. Then the person in-charge sends a circular to all the units, and the units puts this on the notice board. There must be an agreed format so it would make the processing easy, like unit, address, contact person, style and quantity, payment mode, etc. Ask for that circular.

  BTW, heard that Sheares is going to move to Selegie soon. Maybe within 2 months.

  Hmm, I think you can order extra with the form that your unit gave u.
