  Any Chef Reservice on 24-27 April at Sembawang Camp?
  
  sian ah.. now day cook also kanna recourse for 3 days before going for oversea reservice

  no its not sway, every chef must kanna one, my friend said started last year.
  The reason why 3 days is becouse, whenever reservice chef go to oversea and they always say forgot how to cook or long time never cook not used to it or dont know how to cook. anyway it's just a refresh lesson

  Is there a selection criteria for cooks when enlisting ? For example father is 'zi cha' stall boss, brother is 'cha keow teow' man ? or family having 'roti prata' shop ?
  
  Chefs are special breed who has interests and instinct for cooking up great food. If just anyhow select like rifleman and drivers, how to expect good food ?

  no, once we posted to the cookhouse we are on the job trainning. we dont any how cook, so many people think chef in the army any how cook. that was very very long ago i think maybe 1980's? if we any how cook, master charged us then go DB sia..

  Some people just don't make good cooks. They can follow instructions and put all the ingredient in, but the food just does not taste good. So, there must be some kind of cook selection.
  
  It used to be Good Chefs are found only in hotels, restaurants. Now, hospitals employ them. So, what's wrong with SAF employing good Chefs to keep the soldiers' morale high when deployd in the field.
