Your school doesn't matter.
IC = In charge, it's a rotated duty taken up in basic training, some of you guys will take turns to be the platoon IC.
Don't worry about OCS/SISPEC yet. Focus on basic training first. In any case, OCS is a 8mth course, and SISPEC is similar in length.
And yeap, try to mix around your bunk mates and learn all sorts of local lingo, it will help a lot
