Hi guys... I kena enlistment to SPF this 12 June and I got some questions...
My brother said that I have the option of signing on for a 5 years career with SPF and I will never get re-service... plus I will get higher pay, other benefits and a CPF account...
I want to know how accurate is this, do I still have time to enlist for this 5 year career thing and will it be better than a 2 year enlistment....
P.S. Got any website with the info I need... thanks... -

Btw, even if you sign on, and quit after 5 years, you are still required to serve reservist. -

Yes, you can. SPF will have to check with Central Manpower Base (CMPB) prior to your appointment for approval to release you from full-time National Service enlistment.
All male Singaporeans/ Singapore Permanent Residents who have not completed full-time national service must serve a minimum term of 5 years (known as Minimum Term of Engagement, MTE) as a regular officer so as to fulfil your full-time National Service obligation.

Your pay will be that of a regular pay ( depends in rank and about 3X normal NSF pay) plus you will get CPF.
I suggest you go through Basic Training in the Home Team... then see whether you like being a mata before signing on.
