The ranks of servicemen in the uniformed services of the Singapore Armed Forces, in order of seniority, shall be as follows:

the answer is yes.
For some reasons, there is this saying that if you're two ranks higher than the person ( eg CPL and PTE), you can punish the person with push ups ( to a max of 20) etc.
I find this only possible if the CPL has an appointment which allows him to hand out the punishment.
Not on anyone's whim and fancy to just knock someone down.
However, a 3SG is supposedly a commander and so is able to give punishment, within reasonable limits. -

CPL 1st class exist.....hah i just did processing of a guy with that rank.And he just ORDed a few weeks ago
