This was a version I had to memorise as a poor sod in SISPEC... because I was from a garang coy. Adapted from the USMC Rifle's Creed...It's nice to hear and all... but try reciting this during a shiong outfield day.. haahaa... First three lines were fine... then after that you kinda forget the lines....
Anyone also kenna this creed? Haha... -

I've never been in the military but recall hearing that, or something like it, in the movie 'Full Metal Jacket'.

If I had to recite a creed for each of the 14 weapons I had to learn, I'd go nuts.
But, this rifle creed is timeless.

some units or instructors may want to use this creed to perhaps make their platoon 'unique' or perhaps they were trying to simulate the USMC's culture?
FMJ and Jarhead are both movies about the Marine COrps.. so it's not surprising they included the rifle creed in the movie.
Too bad 'A few good men' had no such creed... haha... -

well yea.let's see...during my time in sispec
..i had to memorise the rifle creed...and some other creed...knn
i shouted 'hua!' after each order which sounds like 'hoo-ah' but really means 'heard, understood and acknowledged'.
... shout 'sir, yes sir' after each order...or 'sir, no sir' if the answer was a 'no'
... do runs bare bodied just like the commandos and divers ( i think)
somehow i felt i was like being taught some foreign military culture.... but hey, it was fun

Sweaty palms, allergy to brass or gun propellant, hearing problems, extreme left handedness, religion, psychological condition triggered by loud noises, unexplained inability to aim straight, etc etc are all the reasons I can imagine.
Index finger injury not included. Middle finger can be used with >95% effectiveness of the index finger.
