I would like to know if throughout your lifetime, is it necessary to extract wisdom tooth cause it seems that most of the people i know do this in NS time due to the medical subsidy and mc. But lets say if one never feel any pain or unsure whether there is any wisdom tooth that needs to be extracted, can one opt for such procedure. i am going to ord in sep soon so i want to know if this condition will happen to everyone then perhaps it would be better to do it during service time. Thanks

I also never feel any pain while in Army. But after I ord, tough luck, the pain ensues...
The pain will come very rarely. But the discomfort sucks.
Anyway, since now got free in SAF, just use lor....att C for 1 week lei...u duwan?

i took out all of my wisdom tooth during the last 2 months of my NSF period.
For 2 reasons:
1. For the MC 2. Because it's subsidised
I remember doing it at Alexandra hospital. very professional. of course, very ex too. all in all cost me more than $1000. when i saw the bill i was so happy cos every cent was subsidised by the army.
My advice is, just go for it. u never know when u may need to take it out. im sure u dont want to pay $1000 to take out 4 teeth right.
furthermore, it's even more expensive if you do it at a private clinic. can hit almost $400 a tooth.
Plus, if you extract 2 wisdom teeth, followed by another 2, you can space the 2 operations out. all in all, you can get 2 weeks of MC. ain't that good?
