totally agree, the whole idea of tech specs so tt the crew cannot argue with u when something absolutely necessary to be done...eg.. wash vehicle...vehicle not clean...service wat?Originally posted by LazerLordz:Which is why I say, total bollocks. if this is the case, then i feel it's a load of bull crap.Originally posted by Master -_-:im quite outdated..so effectively, this rank strips the "3SG" rank off non-combat specs ah? No more 3SG for non-combat specs?
At least you are one who understands the reality of the situation.Originally posted by sir sickolot II:if this is the case, then i feel it's a load of bull crap.
i'm a combatant, but i'm also aware of the need to have a strong technical and logistical support. Try fighting any operation without ammo or vehicles. We'll be gg in 5 mins. haha.
Although non-combat 3SG did not go through sispec and what not, they have attained a level of technical skills required to be a 'supervisor' and requires the rank to approve things.
Not sure, I think it's slightly lower.Originally posted by Master -_-:non combat specs, imo, are much more essential since most enlistees are posted to non combat vocations..and they need middle hierarchy commanders to kinda "click" with them..then the pay currently how? the CFC takes the allowance of the now-defunct 3SG(non combat)?
service vocations allowance =Originally posted by LazerLordz:Not sure, I think it's slightly lower.
CFCs are also granted to high performing CPLs in vocations where they are ineligible for a 3SG promotion. This is fine IMHO..
Service 3SG gets 560..
they will still be tech specs but not all of them will get 3SG (for NSFs i mean). for regulars they will get 3SG regardless upon graduating of their course.Originally posted by Fatum:so how ? ... next time no tech specs, only tech corporals ? ....
i always wanted to do this to u..Originally posted by allentyb:photoshop ah?
don't have this rank.................at all...........
yea, but one has gone through sispec and the other none.Originally posted by Gordonator:i am wondering will normal non-tech CPLs be promoted to CFC?
like for example a combat CFC? if yes then the combat CFC will get the same pay as a service 3SG. different rank same pay.
a Combatant CFC will already get higher pay than a Service 3SG..Originally posted by kenn3th:yea, but one has gone through sispec and the other none.
I believe in this case, the CFC is for deserving soldiers who have shown good performance?Originally posted by Gordonator:i am wondering will normal non-tech CPLs be promoted to CFC?

ya i think so too. cos now that NS is shorten to 2 years and it takes around 1 year for a normal enlistee (assuming he's either A level or diploma) to be promoted to CPL, there's no time left for one to be promoted to CFC.Originally posted by LazerLordz:I believe in this case, the CFC is for deserving soldiers who have shown good performance?
service 3SG don't go through SISPEC.Originally posted by kenn3th:yea, but one has gone through sispec and the other none.
But the 1 year starts from POP. There's still time I think..Originally posted by Gordonator:ya i think so too. cos now that NS is shorten to 2 years and it takes around 1 year for a normal enlistee (assuming he's either A level or diploma) to be promoted to CPL, there's no time left for one to be promoted to CFC.
Nah, they won't. How do you justify a mass demotion. It's stupid.Originally posted by toll123:dunno whether they will demote those technicial 3SGs NSmen to CFC.........
I was a comms tech ORDed last august btw
there won't be time.Originally posted by LazerLordz:But the 1 year starts from POP. There's still time I think..
