Going for lasik during NS is a chargeable offence?

  during my time...which is a couple yrs ago? they have this treatment to treat myopia which required ppl to go for trails...they will reimburse u money also and u get free offs too to go for the treatment..think around 10 days...why not go for tt? its better deal rite? not sure if they still have it now...

  You can seek hotline help, but ultimately the record will go back to your company and your superior will be informed of such a call.
  
  And of course calling hotline for no apparent reason is not right.

  my unit apparently is very particular abt personnels (NSF or Regular) going for lasik. cuz if go by the SAF way, muz temp downgrade E9L3 for 6 mths. so CO is very particular on who is applying to go and thus some personnel decided to go the backdoor way: do the surgery overseas and take opportunity to clear leave during lull period. so no one will suspect anything.

  its true. u need to have permission to go for lasik. as after operation, u will be deemed for downgrade for 6 months. got a case of my frez already.

  That's what I thought too. Lasik is not a necessary operation. Plus, it takes time off from the NS.

  haha, i'm in NS now and went for lasik like three days ago.
  
  of cause, i'm taking advantage of a long term m/c from another surgery so might as well get everything solved within this window period!
