Going for lasik during NS is a chargeable offence?

  NS is as good a time to do all your surgery and medical stuff as ever. Hey its heavily subsidized and even if you are on mc, you are still paid.
  
  I know of a few people who waited till NS to clear all their medical stuff like surgery for sweaty palms, surgery for some bone, do braces, do lasik, pull out teeth and stuff.
  
  If you are about to enlist and have some medical condition, NS must be the best time for free healthcare. lol.

  lasik as a cosmetic procedure probably not allowed, unless your doctor can certify it is required for medical, rather than cosmetic reasons.

  yea go tell yr OC/CSM that you want to go for liposuction... say it'll make u less fat and that u'll be able to run IPPT faster!!

  I think the one who ask the clerk to include that in the RO is somebody with poor english or poor communication skills.
  
  As far as i know, any service personnel going for ELECTIVE surgery is to first seek approval from at least your OC.
  
  You cannot just go for the surgery and take the MC and return camp after MC.
  
  And I mean elective is that you do it on your own will and without SAF's direction.
  
  I had an elective surgery during my NS, given 2 weeks MC and 4 weeks ATT B. But it was allowed because we were still undergoing lull then.

  err ... anyone thinks it's advisable to update them AFTER the lasik procedure?

  problem with lasik is that..u will be temporarily downgraded...unless ure camp MO is ure fren.....

  i think i got to agree with those that say people abuse systems. saf likes to do the "abstain from eating from fear of choking" kind of moves. so must be some cuckoo that took 2mths mc within a month that kinda thing. (i saw ppl getting 38 days mc within month)
  
  oh ya the oeti clerk. uhh yea its a she now. not he anymore. and she/he so far has not been seen in oeti for quite a few weeks. last time i saw the movement shes at imh.
