Pilot Selection

  Hey guys,
  
  I got a letter from RSAF inviting me to go for the COMPASS test.
  
  I didn't apply for anything, and my enlistment is in 3 wks time.
  
  I am wondering how is the pilot selection process is like?
  
  Anyone can share their experience?

  the seach function of sgforums is lousy.

  Psychomotor test, medical at aeromedical centre, Psychology test, Aptitude test. Identify Friend or Foe on a computer screen, etc etc.
  
  Look, everybody wants in, but after they get in, they all (alomst all) wanna get out of it. It's not like in other armed forces, this is RSAF, with a history of very studious kids who grew up watching Top Gun. And it's fucking dangerous.

  how the hell do they select those for compass tests? i've been waitnig like fu.ck for the letter n still they dowan send me. fu.ck them.

  lolx ... i still waiting for the interview part .. kinda wait like for 2 months le ... i call down and they say u have pass the compass .. the officers are arranging for interview will inform u later ... <--- that goes my 2 months -.- well i taken my pilot compass test and i fail =x but i pass the wso compass test =)

  u just have to sit infornt of the computer doing some logical , mathematics, reflexas testing based on the test given ... duration of whole test is around 4 hrs

  actually the whole process for those pilot wannabes and sign up for it , is liddis ...
  
  stage 1 : COMPASS TEST (if passed proceed to stage 2)
  stage 2 : Interview ( if passed proceed to stage 3)
  stage 3 : Medical test ( if passed proceed to stage 4 )
  stage 4 : Get in OCS during bmt and clear it , than they will sign u up ...
  
  thats the whole process .. for pilot

  compass test is quite demanding.
