bmt throw grenade.
wait till u fire the GPMG, HMG, M203, LAW, 84mm.
wait till see a infantry live firing where the whole platoon fire everything at the target... then
wait till u play with c4 and detonating cord to "flip a 3 tonner", "cut down a tree in 1 second", field-made diseal flamethrower to ambush infantry troops....
wait till u see armor abg live firing....then
wait till u see the real effects of a full fledge artillery bombardment!!! (one of the rarest ever seen!)
Think this is as close to a real war as we singaporeans will get... -
PS was complainin bout my bed buddy throwin the nade 2 close to the bay. Could see the damn ball bearings when i was walking 2 the bay. And yes, the pin is damn tight... i also took some time 2 pull out...

i remember still must aim at the target and shout bang bang bang before the PC or sgt give command for us to prepare the grenade.

anybody's grenade slipped or dropped outta your hands (maybe due to panic) as u got ready to throw it after pulling off the pin?

Some years ago, our unit did a 155 Bn Salvo on a target. 1st to throw a blind in the coy . Then suddenly it rained cats n dogs . After my blind i went back to training shed only to hear fellow recruits cursing n swearing the cbk who throw the blind lol . After that 2 more blinds follow , cat1 status given n 3/4 of the coy waited for nothing.
I heard a grenade was about $500 , so i was bragging hw worthwhile is my throw as i took $500 + $x due to the claymore. Moreover i experience the shockwave behind the wall tat only throwers of blinds can feel -

When I was in BMT, we did the practice grenade throw in some course area. (cos got place to duck, crawl etc).
As i stepped up to go thru the procedure with my PC, he leaned towards me and said,
"Lets have a bit of fun, When i say throw grenade, you throw it, but throw it towards the training shed. We see what your fellow recruits react"
And so he said "throw grenade" And with all might flung my hand back, as if preparing for the lob method but let it go so it went right into the training shed.
The expression of my fellow recruits was priceless, all just staring at each and me confused. Until my PC shouted, "EH, WHAT THE F##$ YOU ALL DOING? SEE GRENDAE STARE AT IT IS IT?"
Then all started to scramble and dive and lie prone. And i was at grenade bay laughing my ass off..
Just one incident in other wise boring day.. -

Speaking of that, some of us even went to the extent of adding metal clips and wooden pegs to make the whole dummy grenade realistic. -
