  430 SAF officers commissioned at SAFTI MI
  
  SINGAPORE: 430 Singapore Armed Forces officers were commissioned at the SAFTI Military Institute on Saturday evening, with Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean reviewing the commissioning parade.
  
  Among them, six from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and one from the Royal Thai Army.
  
  The parade marked the completion of 38 weeks of rigorous training at the Officer Cadet School.
  
  The newly commissioned officers will assume combat, instructional or staff appointments in SAF units. - CNA/yy

  serve reservist till 50... we 40 nia
  
  ur reservist unit CO will 'ask' u to 'voluntary' extend service over 50 under ROVER scheme, while we 40 will phased into mindef reserve (ROD)
  
  u take ippt till 50. go for FFI IPPT Phase 1 & 2 till 50, whereas we 40 nia.
  
  u think when reservist is okay, but not when u have a career and family live outside...
