  thanks for all the advises and reply. I ask my friend who was an ex-PC of BMTC. He was told by his OC that after the 2 weeks of orientation period, they are "force" to tekan the recruits. They say that this is the phase for the recruits to learn that singapore army is not to be taken lightly. thorugh this phase, almost entirely of the BMT focus on building a recruit's discipline.
  
  So now, I know it will be tough to be a BMT officer as we need to disciplie this new soldiers well enough and make them " respect" you more then be "afraid" of you.
