As for which one have more duties,really don't know others i was from army,last time monthly about 2-3 duties depend on the manpower in camp. -
passion for the country and what SAF is really like are 2 different things.
if you must sign on, never sign on as a WOSE. to date, even a Senior Warrant Officer must call a newly commissioned 2nd Leftenant "Sir".
sign on as WOSE only if you wanna be at the bottom of the food chain forever.
as a career soldier, esp WOSE, you should ask which one is higher end. information about which one is slacker, does lesser duties is pretty useless to you unless you wanna be kicked out after 10 years, because that is where the slack mentality will take you. in addition, better vocations allow you to perform.

KenPlus, your joke of a standby duty is not even worth mentioning. people of higher calibre have done tons of standby duties with the real possibility of operations without complaint.
that includes normal days, and public holidays... aka everyday.
and your duty... Guard Duty only izzit? -

btw, internet computers in SAF camps are quite limited, and WOSE Regulars who would really like to get their PP2 wont surf sgForums during office hours. at lunchtime, they are too busy in the mess talking c0ck with higher ranking people, while making the higher ranks feel good about themselves. at night, they need to drink beer with their superiors so they have a better standing with them.
the Army is very political. looks good on the outside, rotten inside.
