Tucked in and belted correctly, it looks smart.
That's illegal wearing of vest-slack.Originally posted by SpecOps87:Eh...both incidents I encountered...the mentioned people have their vest untucked and their trouser bottoms all the way to the base of the boot, lookin like some bangla.
You me there is legal wearing of vest outside the camp? I thought then only thing allowed was smart 4 or long 4 or No.3 ?Originally posted by LazerLordz:That's illegal wearing of vest-slack.

I would call it "legal" if you have the "cover" of your commaning officer or RSM. Local orders are legitimate as well, as long as you have these.Originally posted by chanjyj:You me there is legal wearing of vest outside the camp? I thought then only thing allowed was smart 4 or long 4 or No.3 ?
Hmmm...actually quite often see reservist with long 4 de leh.Originally posted by gnoik:actually long 4 oso not allowed to wear outside rite?
Darn. then last time I can theoretically "order" myself to wear anything I want outside of campOriginally posted by LazerLordz:I would call it "legal" if you have the "cover" of your commaning officer or RSM. Local orders are legitimate as well, as long as you have these.
no rule saying cannot but i feel that weariing smart 4 in public is smarter. sometimes i find it stranage why so people when going home from camp like to pull down their sleeve into long 4.Originally posted by gnoik:actually long 4 oso not allowed to wear outside rite?

For me, this is my reason at least.Originally posted by Gordonator:no rule saying cannot but i feel that weariing smart 4 in public is smarter. sometimes i find it stranage why so people when going home from camp like to pull down their sleeve into long 4.
you may be correct, but somehow I think they are the majority rather than the miniority. My reasoning is rather simple. I usually see one whole bunch o NCC recruits (you call them recruits or what?) hanging around shopping malls.Originally posted by Moonlighter:Please do not generalise NCC cadets as "ginnahs who play catching on bus terminals". I am an NCC cadet myself and i wear my no.4 outside with pride and i show discipline in my actions, being mindful that I am wearing the school's tag on my shoulder. There are only a handful of cadets who bring disgrace to NCC by monkeying in their uniforms in public places. I personally dont believe that no NS-man has ever disgraced his uniform while outside.
Dont think that NCC is for you to play around, it trained me well in terms of physical and mental strength. It was through the strenous training in my unit that i managed to achieve 30-points in my napfa this year.
I like what u mentioned abt NSman disgracing the uniform. They r human beings afterall, jus like NCCs.Originally posted by Moonlighter:Please do not generalise NCC cadets as "ginnahs who play catching on bus terminals".
