Just curious bout the vest-slack issue...is there a prohibition for SAF personal be it Regulars or NSFs to wear vest-slack outside? Bugger, I saw this chap with vest-slack playing street soccer near my place's street soccer court. Was wearing a CDO vest.

in fact my whole company did tat
maybe bcos NDP then can like tat ? -

during my time it was ok leh
no going of arcade or running around after training..cos too tired liao..even those ah beng ah beng ones also guai guai went home change first then go arcade one
aiyah even though sometimes the sight of those kids donning no.4 sure irked us..but it's just a CCA..
bringing disrespect a not..to me it doesn't really matter
if other people think it is representing the wrong organisation, let them be lor..cos in the end the people who are defending the nation are you all
if you think those kids do not deserve to don the ranks, then remember it's still a CCA
rules set liao are quite difficult to change..it's a 100-year-old CCA liao
and frankly speaking last time when I wore the oversized uniform I also felt a bit uneasy.. -

Eh...both incidents I encountered...the mentioned people have their vest untucked and their trouser bottoms all the way to the base of the boot, lookin like some bangla.

If you've spent all day running around, from the office to STK to climbing around howitzers in the workshop and other units, wearing long 4 actually helps to cover up all that grime on the arms and is more considerate to others on the bus. -
Let them wear Spore tag for what?!?!?! Let them show off meh. Come on leh NCC not SAF. By letting them wear issnt it tantamount to insulting our SAF men who really earn their "SINGAPORE' tag? Let NCC wear make their head swell bigger only lor...

Please do not generalise NCC cadets as "ginnahs who play catching on bus terminals". I am an NCC cadet myself and i wear my no.4 outside with pride and i show discipline in my actions, being mindful that I am wearing the school's tag on my shoulder. There are only a handful of cadets who bring disgrace to NCC by monkeying in their uniforms in public places. I personally dont believe that no NS-man has ever disgraced his uniform while outside.
Dont think that NCC is for you to play around, it trained me well in terms of physical and mental strength. It was through the strenous training in my unit that i managed to achieve 30-points in my napfa this year. -
you may be correct, but somehow I think they are the majority rather than the miniority. My reasoning is rather simple. If they can hang around in a bunch of 10+ people, then isn't this about half the sixe of a normal NCC platoon (you call them platoon or what?) in the school where they come from?
Please correct me if I am wrong. I have assumed that a normal NCC unit in a normal secondary sch will consist of 20 odd teenagers. -

tag or no tag...it's not the uniform that shows who u are, it's u who maketh the uniform.
