  One guy from my platoon was a qualified scuba diver, but when it came to the BMT swimming test, he could only swim freestyle instead of breast stroke - it was straight off to the "water polo team" with him.

  I don't think i kena the guy you mentioned. was fm 2nd Coy, Jun-1993 to Oct-1995.

  Hi guys, im kinda new here. anyway may i know the chance of getting into commando unit if i was posted to tekong. Is it even possible. im Pes A Currently studying Diploma and not taken IPPT. Btw Enlistment letter came

  I think its very low to impossible since commandos are mostly mono intake and they have their own BMT which is different from the commandos 1.
  
  We have 1 member who wants to get out of commando, you can take his place :p

  The 72's done within a day. I've got to check and refresh my memory for the precise timing, but my company did it in 18 hours plus.

  Not sure abt Chandra. There are few officers with that name around. One of which i know is a Major overseeing the Lightstrike Company for NSmen now.
  
  As for Chua Jyn Meng, he was formerly the brigade 2IC for 7SIB. He's an LTC now and just got posted out few months ago.
