basically, cmpb choose the people to go for the selection test from the database of pre-enlistees at random.
u may volunteer to go for the VA selection test at cmpb service counter when u report for ur cmpb pre-enlist medical checkup.
so it all random. abit weird

Ah, so is that where Dua Chew got his "Can means can lah" from?

Random ain't the word for it. Still, it seems to work itself out, probably on the account of the "you can be trained" principle.

Yes,he borrowed a lot from the people who came before him except when he is cursing his trainees in Hokkien>LOL

u will be enlisted for commando BMT.
no airborne course conducted yet, the course is conducted after BMT.
gradual training is the key... e.g.start with 2.4km, then 5, 8, 10, 16, 18, 21...etc.
all camps have smoking corners... the same as the coffeeshop smoking law.
10x for your information.. Im not actually worried about the physical training.. but i do have a problem.. Im a bit afraid of airborne,im not scared afraid of the heights but i jut cant take the g-force feeling when u jump.. Like when the roller coaster goes down,u know the king of feeling u have like ur heart is in ur mouth..so how is ur experience bro?

Don't sweat the falling sensation - once you get out the door, the slipstream hits you and you're going to be noticing that a lot more than falling. Ninja's from the days of back-ramp jumps, but by my time it was all out the side doors and as far as I know that hasn't changed.

The only ariborne you gonna do in BMT is when you jump off the truck at the end of the day.A Commando does not have to do 20 pull ups but then again a Commando recruits will be asked to do more than the normal greenhorns. It is going to be one rough ride but if you take it one day at a time you will be OK.

but pes B also can in these unit...

okay thanks,
is there any SAFO in commados?
jus curious.
okay lets say i got into the cdo, i would first go through the cdo bmt. thn next is Basic Commando Training (BCT) then is the OCS & SISPEC right? so the diff between a soldier & cdo is that a cdo is in army for a longer period of time right?

nowadays they use ch-47 for jumps more often for the fact that it's faster to load troopers up and deploy.. freefall time is 5 secs.. so in a way, the hanging feeling is woooo.. but then again, it's fun la.. just go enjoy!

47s are after my time - does a stick get out faster than from a Charlie? How's emplaning faster, since it's also through the back ramp on a Charlie?
