I going for conscription soon, wanna ask a question...
how long is a typical meal-time in the army?
cuz I'm a super slow eater. i can eat in 30 minutes to 45 minutes to over 1 hour, then my friends alway say i'll die in NS if i eat this slow (cuz i get bloated very easily, so must eat very slowly, but no medical proof)
so i always prefer to eat alone one, cuz when i eat with many people i always feel very stress, especially if they like chomp down their meal in 5 minutes then need to wait for me 40 minutes to eat finish (really very stress, want to try that?)
hmm, so mental preparation a bit...how long is a meal time in the army? and can ask for the food to be a bit lesser or not, so that i can finish faster. or is fixed amount one? -

Normally your sergeants will give you about 30 mins for mealtime. If suay suay the day is packed, 20 minutes. You can ask for lesser or more portions for your meal.

after your first few weeks, u can actually march back to the company line yourself... the official lunchtime is from 1130 to 1330. if u cant finish your meal in 2 hrs, i dun think u can finish it.
and, no need to be so image conscious in the Army coz almost everyone has a stick inbetween their legs. just do wat u wanna do. puke, swear, kpkb... and things like that. no problem. -

Really meh? SOmetimes, cookhouse so packed. Wait like siao. Then got some event like 15mins later, also chop chop finish. DOn't worry, when the time come, you'll have the solution.

In unit,meal time still ok but durning BMT have to eat very fast sometimes after queue up only left 5 mins to eat and u have to eat right after training,running etc,sometime i feel like vomitting after meal .

usually is 20mins, including queuing up time which vaies from 5 to 10 mins.

yes, killer is the time spent queueing in line to scan ur 11b card at pos station and collect food. this is included in the meal time.
solution will come when u r there. army is like that: rush to wait, wait to rush.... -
to eat is a privilege, to miss a meal is training.
i'd love to see how you eat slowly at my place.
oh wait, at that speed i think you'll be having training everyday. -
everyone in the army like to eat fast cos after that got more free time to take a quick nap or a short break, in the past the last platoon have to clean the cookhouse as well, so none want to be the last.

this is the first time i hear someone with slow eating disorder.
please feedback this to the MO. or alternately tell the cookhouse auntie not to give so much food to you. -
tink u will eat quite fast de lar cos the food suxs then u will throw away after eating a bit only

aiya, if cannot eat finish just throw away lorh.
or hide one spoonful in your breast-pocket, hide two spoonful in each of your trousers-pocket, compress and hide three spoonful in your mouth, then pretend to eat very roughly and carelessly so that you'll 'accidentally' drop all the food around your table.
