well, to be fair to those who just POP-ed there were only a few queries.. not hundreds of them.Originally posted by kopiosatu:its getting pretty f*cked up because of the amount of guniang NSFs nowadays.
its like every batch they churn out turn out to be worst than the batch before.
especially those online here right now who are filling up the SAF forum with their stupid fears and questions about their posting orders.

You Take Up the Job not for the pay itself, but for the Passion of it.
Sign on, if you are really passionate. If it's for high starting pay, then you have gone the wrong route
1st time I heard someone likes outfield.Originally posted by easy06:Oh well, here's my input.
I'm a regular. I took up the JPSDS scheme. I have just complete BMT and now going to SISPEC.
In BMT, I do recieve quite a number of mocking my by platoon mates, company mates, officers and specialist.
"DAMM IT ... YOUR PAY IS MORE THEN ME !!!! nevermind, I'll make sure you will work hard to make it worth the army paying you". That's what my Sgt always say.
"You chiong or not chiong, you also get the same pay what, why chiong so hard???" this is by my platoon mate.
"Chiong so hard for what, your place in SISPEC is waiting for you!!!" that's by company mate.
of all these mocking, I'll just brush it off as a joke. But no matter what they say, I still love my job. It's the passion that I have. Outfield is my office.
I like my BMT days. Althought many people says command school/unit life sucks big time, but i'll say it's for me to judge and experience, not for others to give comments like " you are such an idiot for signing on the dotted line" for the very fact that they are not me, they don't chose the path for me.
My Sgt(NSF) says that i'll regret my decision. But i'll say "we shall see if i have turn back into a civillian in 5 years tiime"
not in ns yet, but i know people laOriginally posted by sir sickolot II:i tot u're not in NS yet?
but i agree with you signing on for the money is still a very very dumb option.

I bet you are just like them when you pop. Its just that you don't want to admit it.
get used to itOriginally posted by jianfish9:Why so harsh.
They not like regular draw high pay for doing it and they don't even want to be there in the first place.
Not like they choose where they want to go. People just dump you to a place of course you are worried and curious.
People who sign on should not put the blame on NSF.
preciselyOriginally posted by k2406:Finding out more information = guniang
Hmm
If people choose that path, leave them be. Why get so worked up?Originally posted by near:1st time I heard someone likes outfield.
Seems like you like to eat field rations, sleep outfield etc..You can continue sleeping outfield and eat field rations when you ord and start working in the civilian world.
I think you can save a lot of $

asking about the job.Originally posted by LazerLordz:It's naturally human to ask.
And that is the first thing I always drilled into my trainees. That they should always gather as much information as they can, if they have doubts, clarify. I detest those who would act smart, think they can confidently carry out a task without questions, because I know they will foul up somewhere.
Knowing the unit you are posted to, and what they do, is beneficial. No one goes into a mission or an EX blindfolded aye?
Of course, there has to be a limit to asking.
Some are friends and the rest are people i have metOriginally posted by gorby107:Those posted in NCC or based in Amoy Quee Camp or your relatives/friends?
Oh now that's fricking too much.Originally posted by kopiosatu:they should just start drilling into the trainees that hell starts after BMT.
anything lesser, they experience and learn to appreciate it.
anything more, is normal.
i have a bunch of NSFs that i'm already giving them a good life. they sit in the air con room, we work like a dog and sweat like pigs. but because they EXPECT a good life, they come out and keep asking 'can we go home?'
WTF.
