I wonder why the regulars always expect the NSF to be so garang and on the ball and be willing to chiong and get their hands dirty.
Reality check, Nsf do not want to be there and if there is an easier way out or having not to stay a second longer in camp than need be, then they will choose that way out.
Whats wrong with being a guniang in this NS thing. Nobody wants unnecessary suffering. If I was posted to some really lousy chiong sua unit, then of course I would want to find a recourse out of there. There's a fine line between garang and really silly.
Now, don't give me the bull about serving the country and duty of all males. As stipulated by our government, everything is pay-related. You want regular standard, then provide regular pay. -

well, kopi, NSFs in your camp are the ones getting reduced workload. coz in my unit, NSFs are the ones who are the worker ants with regulars (SSG and above) pointing and talking while the NSFs "sweat like pigs".
however, my unit nights off everyday, but we get tons of duties, and they arent the pointless guard duties.
maybe u should push your NSFs more. theres no way those buggers should be so relaxed while u work... one thing i hate when i was in the army is people lower ranking watching somebody higher ranking work while doing NOTHING. in your case, they arent even there to watch!
and if they are NSF commanders, its just plain disapppointing, imo. -
One small mistake and there goes your career... You have to start all over again in the outside world... That is... if you survive the cruelty within...

i've seen this 1SG ammo tech when he should be a SSG/MSG already. but he stayed as a 2SG for quite some time because of a traffic offense.
