Can our soldiers really kill?

Can our soldiers really shoot and kill our enemy, despite the deep physiological/psychological barriers found in those investigations?Furthermore, NS is apparently becoming softer and softer
Add to that, all the 'garang' posers and pseudo-aggressiveness. Who, then, among us are going to kill the enemy? -
in time of war, i just shoot anyone that piss me off.

i think that im one of those who are willing to kill any enemy of the state, be it foreign, or domestic.
in addition, the younger generation is very desensitised to violence. maybe after the fact they'll have mental problems, but the enemy is still dead.
Now in order to kill the enemy, our men must be roused to anger; that there may be advantage from defeating the enemy, they must have their rewards.

if this can work in an era, when people carry watever melee weapons to chop each other to pieces and the enemy's blood spurts onto your face, i dun see how it cannot work in an era where one is used to engaging silhouette targets, very desensitised to violence... and probly seen tons of image where contents are mostly red in colour and limbs here and there.
maybe the SAF should allow its soldiers to engage animals?
nah... too expensive... and the peace lovers would be crying foul. plus lots of sai kang after the range. -
during WWII there was no CS what.. nowadays.... they just cant wait to shoot at someone...

15-20%? Surely that's a gross understatement.
I have thought about this many times before. In time of war, I will kill whoever threatens my life and my country. I believe the same goes for all my guy friends.
I wouldn't have a single hesitation to put a bullet through his brain because he will do the same to me if I don't. -
Kill, why not? He is trying to put you 6 feet under afterall.

You'll natural instinct will take over.. furthermore like some said. We are already accustomised to violents in gaming or etc... the first trigger may not be easiest but probably easier for us all.
I think the survey on the WWI is not very true.
For example in Vietnam war about 2000 bullet to one casualties. Not because they soldier didn't shoot but they shot blindly out of fear and wasted quite abit of bullets. -
