Seven Colonels (COL) promoted to the rank of Brigadier-General (BG) / Rear-Admiral(One Star) (RADM) are:

Commander, Air Defence and Operations Command
COL Lim Chern Tjunn Philip
Assistant Chief of the General Staff (Operations)

(currently on course)

Philip Lim is a CDO and Tan Chuan Jin was involved with Operation Flying Eagle.
These group will form the next generation of Chief of Army together with Chan Chun Sing. -

I saw a interview of BG CS Chan, CIO recently. He is one very very young BG! Looks like MINDEF believes he has got some good potential. -

i just came to realise he might have. Cause if I am not wrong there is also a BG Phillip Lim, who is the Chief Armour Officer. if im not wrong he's 38. or could be younger. forget liao. lim chuan poh was also ex 9 div comd. i think can convert vocation. current chief guards was my ex g3. infantry trained. den after that became engineer, den hd nsad. now chief guard. jus go for gcc lor. heard he damn garang, gcc is peanuts to him.
