  Drill commands are really not that hard to remember. Attend a couple parades and chances are you can remember every single command word for word.

  all parades follow the same predictable pattern. u just need to know what to do next.

  Even some malays don't really understand the command because it is not really part of everyday language.
  
  But if you listen to Malay commands.. it is actually more "graceful" than english.
  
  English commands/words sometimes cannot meet the
  3 stage of the command...(hope someone can correct me i forgot the exact words)...
  
  1. anticipation.
  2. Regulation pause
  3. execution stage

  i mean, the parade commander can give a super long command like...
  
  "blah blah blah blah blah blah blah" *breathes* "blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah" *breathes* "blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah" *breathes* "blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah"
  
  "ka kiri pu--------- seng!"
  
  
  
  no big deal wat. besides, after BMT, u know how to execute these commands without thinking already.

  Actually, the drill commands we use are almost similar to those in English used by the British, except almost literally translated into Malay.
